Dedicated AI infrastructure for Sango, the national language of the Central African Republic — 5M+ speakers. Open datasets with per-entry provenance, native-speaker verification throughout.
Africa has 2,000+ languages. Less than 5% have any NLP tools. We're building the infrastructure to change that.

Every resource MEYNG builds for Sango is published free under open licenses — for researchers, NGOs, and governments worldwide.
Fine-tuned on a quality-filtered French-Sango corpus. Version v2-2 beats the NLLB-200 baseline out-of-distribution on FLORES+ and SIB-200 for Sango→French; for French→Sango the baseline is still stronger, and we publish that result too. Free for non-commercial use (CC-BY-NC 4.0).
View on HuggingFaceHundreds of Sango entries with French and English translations, pronunciation guides, and grammar context. Every entry carries its source and review status — unverifiable entries are withdrawn, and the audit trail is public.
View on HuggingFaceOpen-source tokenizer, language detector, and stemmer for Sango. Published on npm. Diacritic-aware by design — handles the 8 tonal diacritics of the Sango orthography.
View on npmFree translation now exists for many African languages. What organizations still can't get is language AI they can verify — that is the layer we build.
General-purpose translators handle words. SangoAI handles the language — specialized grammar rules, domain accuracy, verified vocabulary, native speaker audio, and a full learning platform. Where surface translation ends, SangoAI infrastructure begins.
Message the WhatsApp bot right now. Download the datasets. Read the evaluations — including the unfavourable ones. We would rather be verified than impressive.
The same architecture that powers Sango scales to any language. Swahili, Lingala, Wolof — each new language is infrastructure, not a rebuild. 2,000+ languages await.
