Pricing

What is free, what costs money, and why the line falls where it does.

Open research — free, permanently

The Sango vocabulary dataset is CC BY-SA 4.0: you may use it commercially, and derivatives share alike. The sango-nlp toolkit is MIT. The fine-tuned translation model is CC BY-NC 4.0, inherited from its base model and not removable — research and evaluation only. We state that limit out loud because building a product on it would be a licence violation, and finding out late is expensive.

API pilot — free

The translation API is in pilot and free while it is. That includes the no-key demo on the homepage. Tell us what you are building and we will issue a key with a quota that fits it.

Commercial — priced per pilot

Once a pilot has a shape — volume, languages, latency, whether you need the model in your own environment — we price it against that. We would rather quote something accurate than publish a number that turns out not to apply to you.

Why there is no price table here

Because there is nothing yet you could buy from one. There is no self-serve key issuance and no card on file, so a monthly figure on this page would be a price for something that cannot be purchased. When self-serve exists, the number goes here.
